Multiple Frames in One
 
     

This Tutorial was written for PhotoImpact 10

In this Tutorial you will use
Your Path Drawing Tool
You will use Paste/Fit into Object
You will use Paint on Edges
You will also need an image to work with
 

1.Open a new canvas the size of the image you want Background any color for now

Select your Path Drawing Tool

Shape Rectangle any colour for now

Mode 2D

Draw rectangles on your canvas

Make them all different sizes and add a different shape or 2

 

If you want to join them select the ones you want to join

Right Click/Merge as a Single Object

Use your Align option to line them evenly (Right Click/Align)

Right click/ Merge as a Single Object.

Select the ones you want to join

Use your Align option to line them evenly (Right Click/Align)

Right click/ Merge as a Single Object.

Arrange your rectangles how you want them

See the above illustration.

When you have these set up how you like them Right Click/ Select All Objects

Right Click/ Merge as a Single Object...keep this activated

Open the image you are going to use Right Click/ Copy Edit/Paste/ Fit into Selection

Select your Paintbrush Tool Size 10

Color to suit

Then go to Effect/Creative/Paint on Edges

Doing this step gives you a frame around each rectangle.

If u want a wider edge use a bigger size paintbrush...a smaller edge a smaller paintbrush size

Right Click/Shadow

Choose the shadow you want Edit/Crop

 

If you want to change the background canvas color deselect all objects

Right Click on your background/All

Edit/Fill and choose your color from the color pallett Right Click/Merge All.

For variations you could also use another paint tool ...

Charcoal gives a different look

Also try Airbrush

Although you might need a larger sized brush to get a look you like
